I’ve been working on more video lately. Still in the learning and play stage but it’s coming along. There’s still a lot of work to do and a long way to go, but it has been a lot of fun learning. Always keep learning.
Up Close Whiskey Pour
I’ve been working on more video lately. There’s still a lot of work to do and a long way to go, but it has been a lot of fun learning. Always keep learning.
Mint Julep
Some drinks represent a place. Like the Sazerac with New Orleans, the Cosmo and New York and the Mint Julep with Kentucky, specifically the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. In making the photograph for this drink, I didn’t want to rely on the standard troupes and make another Derby related photo.
Guinness Bubbles
There’s nothing quite like the carbonation bubbles in a Guinness. I find them mesmerizing to watch. Hope you do too.
Motion Beer Pour
I’m spending time working on motion of beverage photography. The goal is to provide video as an option for clients as well as the still photographs.
Tiny Bubbles
I had a lot of fun making photographs of the champagne and Moet bottle. The bubbles were so much fun!
Milking It
If you know Icarus Brewing, you know they make fantastic beer. When I see something new from them, I give it a try and haven’t been disappointed. Given the name of this beer, I knew a milk splash was the way I wanted to go with this photograph. When you’re working with splashes, the main key is repetition. When you think you have a splash you like, take more. When you think you have a lot of good splashes, take more. You will have a lot of images to go through but ultimately you will be glad you did.
Pale Ale
The American Classic Beer, at least the good American classic beer. We won’t mention the other watery beer. I wanted this photograph to feel cool and refreshing and make you want to reach in the photograph and drink it. Cheers!
Died of Thirst
If you’ve never used gels in your photography, I’d recommend you spend some time with them. A sheet of color that goes over your lights, they’re a great way to set a mood in a photograph. Happy Halloween! Cheers!
