A couple of days ago I heard someone say “I love on the rocks”. They were referring to the way they like to take their scotch, but it brought me back to being a kid. No I wasn’t drinking scotch on the rocks when I was a kid. My mother loved Neil Diamond. She played his music all the time at home. So be sheer osmosis, I know the words to almost everything song of his. Funny thing is, after all this time the lyrics stick with me. There are pieces of yesterday I cannot remember, but I can remember “Love on the rocks. Ain’t no big surprise.
