I was working hard on a photograph edit in Photoshop. Then I had a Hacksensack Lager from The Alementary Brewing Company.
The Alementary - Order of the Atom
I’ve had a the opportunity to spend a few days working with The Alementary Brewing Company in Hackensack New Jersey recently. We’ve been doing all kinds of photography to market all the aspects of their brewery and to highlight their “Drinking for Science”. One of the features they have in the taproom is the “Order of the Atom”. When you become a member you get special access to the taproom, special beer no one else has access to, special events and this really great looking glass. This one is filled up with their “Low Earth Orbit” Stout. Cheers!!
Two Hearted Ale from Bell's Brewery
For this photograph, I wanted a clean white high key shot. I wanted my light highlights down the sides to be clearly defined by a black edge down the sides. This is easily done with back cards just out of frame. One thing to remember when you shoot anything with glass, the glass will always show you everything it sees. While this can make it challenging to shoot, you can use it to your advantage to get exactly what you want in the photographs you make.
Hey Punk!
Do What's Right
Do what’s right! It’s always a good motto. This beer was brewed to commemorate the establishment of the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. A new national park unit located in Northern Maine. It is a monument in progress with limited services, and in the coming years services will be added to the monument. The folks at Maine Beer Company are obviously interested in what it right. In making this photograph, I wanted to make this bottle look as classy as their team must be. Cheers! Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
60 Minute IPA from Dogfish Head, one of the old school West Coast Style IPA’s. Hoppy, clear and delicious, as long as you like the bitter hoppy flavor. I made this photograph by placing the bottle on a piece of glass between two workhorse table legs. Then shot up from under the glass for the perspective.
Wrench
Wrench from Industrial Arts Brewing Company. Forget your tool box, this beer belongs in your fridge!
Gunpowder IPA
I’ve been getting in to scotch and bourbon lately, so when I see a beer, especially an IPA that’s barrel aged, I usually pick it up. This one from Scotland’s Innis & Gun didn’t disappoint. With this beer image, I really wanted to bring out the elements on the bottle. The brewery name and the initials especially. Stay safe and stay sane.
Dead Guy Ale
Dead Guy Ale from Rogue Ales & Spirits in Oregon. A German Maibock style ale gratefully dedicated to the rogue in each of us. Love the Dead Guy on the can. This beverage photographed with the Canon 5D mk IV with Einstein lights.
