I’m not a big fan of the frozen margarita, but a well made shaken margarita, that hits the spot. Not a lot of ingredients and a little effort goes a long way with this cocktail. Shaken2 ounces tequila, 1 ounce Cointreau, 1 ounce lime juice, shake with ice. Strain and pour over ice in the glass with a salted rim and lime wheel. Delicious. Cheers!

1664 Blanc

October 8, 2020

I wanted this photograph to convey a message of a beer that is light and refreshing. To make them float, there are clear plastic supports holding the bottle and the glass exactly where I wanted them. From there, it’s simply a matter of making them look cold with the moisture cues and light them. Cheers!

Jumpin' for the Weekend

September 24, 2020

The weekend is almost here. This week has seemed way longer than usual, so I am very excited for it to get here. In this photograph, I wanted the beer to jump too. So I asked it, very nicely I might add. Thankfully it complied and did a little jump. Have a great weekend.

Jumpin' Whiskey

September 22, 2020

Keeping good whiskey in the glass is very very hard. So hard, sometimes it jumps right out of the glass. Splash photography like this is fun, but messy. Right now part of my house smells like a distillery after creating this photograph. Worth every smell of it.

Guten Tag! Y'All!

September 21, 2020

It's Octoberfest time! The weather is getting crisp. All kinds of flavors and scents are popping up around us. It’s a great time of the year and a great time for beer! This Octoberfest Marzen from Ayinger is excellent! Plus check out that cap! Once I saw it, I knew I had to photograph it and then drink it. Cheers.

More Caffeine Please

September 17, 2020

Some days your morning coffee is just not enough to get you through the day. That’s when you can reach for cold brews from Rook Coffee of New Jersey. Hot day, perfect for a cold brew.

Three Dollar Dragon

September 15, 2020

If you’re ever in need of a dragon, you can find a 3 dollar dragon on Amazon. How could I not make a photo of a beer called Dragon’s Milk without a dragon. But with Game of Thrones over, you can’t find a dragon every Sunday night anymore. Amazon and Photoshop to the rescue.

Pepper

September 10, 2020

I saw this pepper at a farmers market in central NJ. I’d never seen a multi colored one like this before. Knew I wanted to photograph it. Also a good chance to channel me some Edward Weston and have some fun in the studio. Cheers!

Beignets!

September 9, 2020

I love New Orleans! Ever since my first visit, I’ve been in love with everything about it. The people, the food, the music. We try to get there every. Our trip this year was cut short as the town closed down around us because of Covid-19. We decided to make some beignets last weekend. We had a little bit of chicory coffee and through some eggs on too. I decided to run them in to the studio first to make a photo of them before they were devoured. They barely lasted long enough to shoot ‘em.
